Eleonora Buratto - Contessa d’Almaviva
Eleonora
Buratto, born in Mantua, won in 2007 the "Adriano Belli" International Lyric
Contest, making her debut as Musetta in La Bohème at the Teatro Lirico
Sperimentale in Spoleto.
After that Ms Buratto started an international career that brought her to the
most important theatres in the world, collaborating with such prestigious
conductors as: Riccardo Muti, Zubin Mehta, Bruno Campanella, Ivor Bolton,
Stefano Montanari, Riccardo Chailly, Marc Piollet, Jesus Lopes-Cobos, Gianandrea
Noseda, Daniel Harding. Her regular collaboration with Riccardo Muti led her to
sing many important roles under his baton: Creusa in Jommelli’s Demofoonte (2009,
Salzburg Festival, Opéra Garnier and Ravenna Festival), Susanna in Mercadante’s I
Due Figaro (2011-Real in Madrid, Salzburg Festival, Colon in Buenos Aires),
Amelia in Simon Boccanegra (2012-Rome Opera and 2014 Bunka Kaikan in
Tokyo), Norina in Don Pasquale (2013, Teatro Real in Madrid), Bach’s Mass
in B minor (in Chicago with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra). Amongst her
most recent successes it is worth mentioning: Falstaff at the Salzburg
Festival (in the role of Nannetta) and then at the Ravenna Festival and in
Reggio Emilia (in the role of Alice, Cristina Mazzavillani Muti directing);
Orphée et Eurydice (Eurydice) in Montpellier; Giulio Cesare (Cleopatra)
by Handel in Modena, with Accademia Bizantina under Ottavio Dantone; Ariadne
auf Naxos at the Salzburg Festival; L’Elisir d’Amore in Madrid; La
Bohème (Musetta) in Naples, Montpellier Festival, Turin and on tour in
China; Così fan Tutte (Despina) in Valencia; La Sonnambula (Lisa)
at the Liceu in Barcelona; Carmen (Micaëla) at the Teatro dell’Opera in
Rome; Il Viaggio a Reims (Corinna) in a new production at the Dutch
National Theater in Amsterdam (c. Montanari-d. Michieletto). Ms Buratto has just
made her debut as Liù in Turandot at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples.

d’Amore at the La Scala in Milan; Don Pasquale in New York under the
baton of Maurizio Benini; Le Nozze di Figaro (Contessa) in Amsterdam and
at the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari; Don Giovanni in Liège (Donna Anna) and
in Aix-en-Provence (Donna Elvira); Carmen in Naples, Chicago and
Madrid; La Bohème in Zurich (Mimì) and Chicago (Musetta).

Raffaella Lupinacci - Cherubino*
Young up-and-coming Italian mezzo, Raffaella Lupinacci is a prizewinner of the
2013 AsLiCo Competition. Ms. Lupinacci made her operatic debut in 2011 as Tisbe
in Rossini’s Cenerentola and in Verdi’s Rigoletto at Teatro “A.
Rendano” in Cosenza. She attended the Accademia Rossiniana in Pesaro in 2012,
making her debut as Marchesa Melibea in Rossini’s Il Viaggio a Reims. She
was reinvited in Pesaro in 2013 for L’Italiana in Algeri. She sang: Mary
in Der Fliegende Hollaender for the AsLiCo Opera Domani project, which
toured many theaters in Northern Italy; Maometto II (Calbo) on tour in
Switzerland; Rossini’s Otello and a Verdi Gala in Antwerp; Rossini’s Petite
Messe Solennelle in Saint-Etienne under Alberto Zedda. She made her debut in
the Circuito Lirico Lombardo singing in Rossini’s Tancredi (Tancredi and
Isaura) and in Verdi’s Otello (Emilia) and was then reinvited the
following year to sing
Fenena in Nabucco.
She made her debut as Dorabella in Così fan Tutte in Vicenza and appeared
in Aureliano in Palmira at the Rossini Opera Festival in Pesaro and in
La Forza del Destino at the Festival Verdi in Parma and at the Bayerische
Staatsoper in Munich. Ms. Lupinacci
recently made her debut as Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni in Modena,
Piacenza and Lucca.
Plans
include: La Gazzetta at the Rossini
Opera Festival in Pesaro and Madama Butterfly at the Teatro Massimo in
Palermo.
